A new year is the perfect excuse to upgrade the tools you use every day. Forget vague resolutions — the right gadget can make you genuinely more productive, more active, and more focused in 2027. Whether you want a better desk setup, a reason to move more, or a way to finally replace doomscrolling with real reading, these are the gadgets that help those goals stick. Here are our picks for the best tech to start 2027 on the right foot.
1. Logitech MX Master 3S — $99.99 (Best for Comfortable, all-day productivity)
If you spend hours at a computer, the right mouse makes a bigger difference than you would expect. The MX Master 3S is whisper-quiet, ergonomically sculpted for long sessions, and works across three devices at once — switch between your laptop and desktop with a button press. Starting the year with less wrist strain and faster workflow is the kind of resolution that actually sticks.
2. Apple iPad Air M2 — $599 - $749 (Best for Your portable brainstorm board)
The iPad Air M2 is fast enough for real work and light enough to carry everywhere. Use it for note-taking in meetings, sketching out ideas, reading documents on the go, or as a second screen at your desk. Paired with a keyboard case, it replaces a notebook entirely. If your resolution is to be more organized and creative, this is the tool.
3. Logitech K380 Multi-Device Keyboard — $39.99 (Best for A cleaner, more flexible desk)
A compact wireless keyboard that connects to three devices at once declutters your desk and your mind. The Logitech K380 switches between your phone, tablet, and laptop with dedicated keys, and its quiet, comfortable typing makes long writing sessions pleasant. At under $40, it is one of the cheapest productivity upgrades with the highest daily impact.
4. Garmin Venu 3 — $449.99 (Best for Stay active and accountable)
New Year fitness resolutions fail when there is no accountability. The Garmin Venu 3 tracks your steps, workouts, sleep, and stress all day, giving you honest data you cannot argue with. Built-in GPS, a bright AMOLED screen, and multi-day battery mean it stays on your wrist from January 1 through December 31 — not gathering dust by February.
5. Kobo Libra Colour — $219.99 (Best for Read more, scroll less)
One of the most popular resolutions is to read more and spend less time on social media. An e-reader makes that switch effortless: no notifications, no feeds, just the book in front of you. The Kobo Libra Colour adds a color screen for magazines and comics, is waterproof for the bath, and has a warm backlight for bedtime reading. Replace doomscrolling with real pages.
6. Dyson Purifier Cool Air Purifier & Fan — $429.99 (Best for Breathe better, think clearer)
Clean air is an underrated productivity hack. The Dyson Purifier Cool filters allergens, pollutants, and VOCs from your home office while doubling as a quiet fan. If your resolution is to build a workspace where you actually feel good for eight hours, better air quality is the invisible upgrade that makes everything else easier.
