The Amazon Echo Dot has been the best-selling smart speaker for years, and the 5th generation takes everything people love about it and makes it noticeably better — especially the sound.

Design & Build

The 5th Gen Echo Dot keeps the spherical design introduced with the 4th gen, but it feels more refined. The fabric-wrapped sphere sits comfortably on any surface, and at just 3.9 inches wide, it fits on nightstands, kitchen counters, and bookshelves without taking up much space. The light ring on the bottom creates a subtle ambient glow.

Sound Quality
