LG C4 OLED TV Review

The LG C4 continues the C-series tradition of offering premium OLED performance at a more accessible price than the flagship G4.

Picture quality is stunning. OLED's self-emitting pixels deliver perfect blacks—when a pixel is off, it produces zero light. This creates infinite contrast that LCD TVs simply cannot match. Dark scenes in movies look incredible, with shadow detail preserved while blacks remain inky.

Brightness has improved again. The C4's OLED evo panel pushes brighter highlights than previous generations, making HDR content pop. Dolby Vision content looks spectacular, with vibrant colors and nuanced highlights. SDR content is upscaled beautifully.

Color accuracy is exceptional out of the box, with near-perfect calibration. The wide color gamut covers nearly 100% of DCI-P3, making movies look as directors intended.

Gaming performance is where the C4 shines brightest. Four HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K@120Hz with VRR, and the TV goes up to 144Hz for PC gaming. Input lag is incredibly low at under 10ms in Game Mode. NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium certification means tear-free gaming on any platform.

webOS 24 is intuitive and snappy, with quick access to streaming apps. Apple AirPlay 2, HomeKit, and Alexa/Google Assistant support add smart home flexibility.

The ultra-thin design looks premium mounted on a wall. The included stand is sturdy but somewhat basic. Built-in speakers are adequate but serious viewers should add a soundbar.

Burn-in remains a consideration for OLED, but LG's protection features (pixel refresher, logo dimming) mitigate the risk for normal use. Avoid displaying static content for extended periods.
